YOU can help out.

This past fair taught us an important lesson - we can't operate the fair without a full field of people. While it seems a long way off, we really need to have people commit NOW! These are the positions that we are looking for you to fill:

1. Vendors: This person (or persons) will help make the selection of vendors and most importantly, needs to be at 4:00 p.m. to show the vendors to their rooms, and put signs on the doors, and collect their contribution to the tip cup raffle.
2. Signs: The fair needs someone (s) to make 2 new church signs and one big sign for in front of the church. This person (s) would also change the lettering on the existing signs (new dates) and place these signs around town.
3. Decorations: This committee oversees the decorating for the Fair - Most booths are done by the committee for each booth so it's basically the bulletin boards, the upper hall and ladies room entryway.
4. Set up: These two committees need someone to oversee these two jobs and recruit helpers.
5. Clean up: Please talk to Kim Chambers, Betsy Sturrock or Karen Bement if you have any questions about any of these jobs. We really need your help and support.

WANTED: CRAFTERS Those of you who are crafters -we need and want your ideas for projects for our workshops. If you have an idea, please contact Karen Bement at 742-9797 or Betsy Sturrock 487-1763 or Kim Chambers in the church office at 742-8487. Watch the Fair Bulletin Board for Fair News and workshop dates.

Ways you can help now:

• Jewelry Booth: When cleaning out your jewelry box, why not donate unwanted pieces to the jewelry booth, along with any small boxes. Leave jewelry in the church office with Kim, or give to Louise Valley or Ginny Brown.
• Old Christmas cards - give these to Karen or Betsy (cut off the personal messages) for projects.
• Knit those cold winter nights away - hats and scarf sets did well, as did baby items.
• Basket Booth - the best selling baskets are those designed to sell at $10, $15 and $20 dollars. We'll be posting the sign up sheet for baskets in the spring.

USED BOOK SALE: Unless someone would like to take this project on, we will need to postpone the book fair this year. Both Karen and I will be having or have had surgery and won't be lifting much for a while. This is a very easy project - a one-week wonder and so if you would like to do this - call Betsy or Kim at the office 742-8487.
