
Albanian born violinist
Brunilda Myftaraj graduated from the conservatory of fine arts in
Tirana; she studied with several professors in Europe and United States
including Piero Farulli of the Quartetto Italiano, Alberto Lissy at the
Yehudi Menuhin Academy, Phil Setzer and Eugene Drucker of the Emerson
Quartet, Rafael Druian and Renato Bonacini.
Ms. Myftaraj has performed extensively as a soloist and recitalist in
Europe and around United States including recitals for the Piano and
Friends Chamber Music series in Tucson Arizona and in a special concert
for the Schubert Club in Minneapolis. She has been featured on the
radio in Boston, NY and CT.
The Artist has appeared as soloist with many orchestras including
Hartford Symphony and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. She
is the winner of the Van Rooy competition and one of the winers of the
Emerson string quartet competition. She was in the semifinals of
international violin competitions such as Young Artist Guild in NY,
Lipizer Competition in Gorizia, Italy and invited through her recording
to participate in the one of the most prestigious competitions in the
world "Indianapolis International Violin Competition".
Currently Ms. Myftaraj is a concertmaster of the Connecticut Virtuosi
Chamber Orchestra; she is also a member of the prominent Sylveen String
Quartet at residence at the Tunxis College, and on the faculty of the
Hartt School Community Division. Brunilda also maintains a very
successful private studio.
